wonderful friends,
it never ceases to amaze me,,, the unique and diverse depth i find in the connections between the lovely people i work with.
pause for a moment, if you will, and think of the 5 people you love most in the world,,,
you'd probably say you 'love' each of them, right? but each differently, yes?
and the gift they are to you, that's different too. as in, they each give you something no one else in the world could give you in just exactly that way.
i believe that who we are, that preciousness at the core of us, and the way we share it is has its own signature, as rare and perfect as a fingerprint.
my work with Beloved is very much about exploring that invisible signature, and expressing it in a way it will be seen again and again for the supreme preciousness it is.
my work is not about making people look beautiful. they were born far more beautiful than anything i could ever make.
all i do is create an honest space for them to share that beauty, a clear stage, for the symphony of who they are to play.
it is not my song, it is their own. i'm just a conductor. a conductor, and a stunned audience of one, time and time again, brought to a very real awe at the miracle that life is, and this ability we have to give it.
i had the opportunity to do a brief session with Andrea & Ryan when i was last in my home state of indiana. the energy released during the session had a tangible affect on the three of us, surely, and, i wouldn't doubt, anyone nearby, whether or not they were even aware of it.
the mind has a tendency to ignore what it cannot see. there are entire worlds we have missed because of this, my friends.
i go to find them.

i always look forward to your pictures because they are so strikingly beautiful, you really know how to capture people.
*me* another one that is always awaiting new photos :) lovely photos, I really love the first and the 6th photo.
three of the most beautiful people i will have ever known...

Very nice! They're adorable together.
you gave me chills...these images are breath taking. Thanks for sharing.
Ok, how surreal it was to walk out of having coffee with Ryan and then getting a tweet that their photos are up!
Ryan has been working with me on my new photog logo and has been amazingly sweet and patient as I have gone through an unexpected journey of self doubt, panic and finally the excitement of finding my own identity through his art work. (That's the world's longest sentence.) He so patient, kind and like me, so very willing to go off in a million different artistic tangents to find the right path. He has been the perfect guy to help me find my new branding. (Thank you Bobbi!)
I can't wait to get to know Andrea better! She is so beautiful and I can just tell that she is just as much on the inside. Their sweet baby girl has her eyes.
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous images, especially on the day I finally got to meet them in person!
Betsy

oooohhhh HOORAY HOORAY! It is AMAZING to see these Jesh. I am STILL a changed person for having been at that workshop. You are SO completely right about the energy between those two, and all of us. Andrea and Ryan were so free and so giving with their emotions. It is just so cool to see the photos now! Thank you for sharing these!I think of Andrea and Ryan so often, they were such beautiful people to be near. Well, that whole workshop was simply indescribable. Sigh. Love to you Jesh. Lots of it.
Very cool, Jesh. I enjoy reading what you type here. I really relate to the things you say.
Beautiful images. Beautiful words.
